For clients utilizing our AI services, here is how your data is handled based on the Data Use Authorisation you select in your Data Sharing Agreement:
If you authorise "Client-Specific Fine-Tuning Only": We will strictly use your data (including video footage and custom embeddings) to provide and optimize services exclusively for your organization. Your data remains completely isolated, logically and technically. None of your identifiable information will ever be used to train our general models or shared with other clients.
If you authorise "Generalised Model Improvements": We may use your data to enhance our underlying models to benefit all clients. Before any of your data is used for this generalized training, it undergoes rigorous anonymisation (such as the removal of direct identifiers and aggregation) so it no longer constitutes personal information under POPIA. You can withdraw this authorisation at any time with 30 days' written notice.
Strict Deletion Cycles: Standard video data is automatically and securely deleted within 0 to 30 days of upload, unless an authorized extension or legal hold applies.
RAG Embeddings: If you use our Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) capabilities, the embeddings created from your documents are strictly isolated to your specific environment. They are never retrieved or shared across other client queries.
Special Personal Information: Because our platform processes biometric data and criminal behavior insights, we apply enhanced security controls—including stricter retention periods and advanced encryption—regardless of the data use settings you choose.
Third-Party Processors: We use secure, vetted cloud computation providers. Data transferred to these operators remains protected under the same strict confidentiality and processing obligations outlined in our primary agreements.
